Making Waves on Instagram

Iceland is at a crossroads. The license to hunt endangered fin whales expired in December. We urge the Icelandic government not to renew the hunting license. Whales are vital to the health of the oceans and our survival on the planet.

Whales are the largest animals on earth, and as the Icelandic ethical review board has said, there is no humane way to kill whales.

Iceland must take the bold step forward and make whaling a thing of the past. For all of us, and our future.

Please send a message to the ministers in Iceland by clicking the link in our bio.

This year, we have a chance to prevent horrible deaths like the mother and calf that lost their lives last summer.

The fate of 750 fin whales rests in the hands of @bjarkeyg, the new Minister of Fisheries in Iceland.

The minister is under immense political pressure to issue a new license, and she needs OUR support to back her up with her decision to end whaling.

Please share this video, and tag the minister of fisheries @bjarkeyg in your stories, or comment on her instagram and let her know you support her effort to end whaling.

🚨BREAKING🚨: At an abandoned captive dolphin park at Blackbeard Cay, aka Balmoral Island, Nassau, Bahamas, eight dolphins have died and five remain abandoned and starving.
URGENT CALL TO ACTION - Help us ask the Bahamian government to immediately implement lifesaving interventions for these dolphins. Sign the #petition at the link in our bio. Also instagram the PM of the Bahamas @bravedavis to take action now!
Our partner @dolphin_project was alerted to the news of this abandoned captive dolphin facility on Balmoral Island.
Closed during the COVID pandemic, the tourist attraction never re-opened and the dolphins were left in limbo. A few days later, with an invitation to inspect the dolphins and the abandoned facility by the lone caretaker and dolphin trainer, Luis Arturo Hernandez, Dolphin Project Founder/Director, Ric ‘Barry, was able to witness the conditions firsthand. Urgent action is needed now.
